I ordered an item, and was provided a USPS tracking number. The item arrived, as described, but via Walmart home delivery, and was not delivered via USPS. I'm concerned the seller may have used a stolen credit card to dropship item to me using my information and address. This concerns me, as I don't want my own Walmart buying account compromised due to someone else commiting fraud. Trying to report this to ebay is virtually impossible, it doesn't fit any of the drop down menus options, and the "contact" option seems futile. I'm also somehow baffled about the tracking number, and how they were able to use it, it showed as delivered several hours before the Walmart delivery arrived in my name. Seller has a California address, shipping shows item dispatched from Illinois, item actually came from my local Walmart in Minnesota. Seller sold item for the exact price item is selling for at Walmart, of course.

Since the seller sold the item for the same price as Walmart, my guess is that the seller was unable to find the item she had listed for sale on ebay, so decided to purchase it from Walmart and have it sent to you.

Thanks for your reply! Hopefully that's all it is... though the seller still has several of the same item still available on their storefront. What struck me as odd was receiving a USPS tracking number & that tracking number showed as delivered, then several hours later a same-day express delivery was made from my local Walmart with just my last name on the label. These are delivered by local drivers, not a carrier... In any case I've decided it's not worth the hassle reporting it to ebay, I doubt they'd even investigate; I just hope my name and address doesn't get flagged if in fact it is a triangulation fraud type thing.

Turns out my suspicions were correct. The seller in question "no longer exists" and did in fact use a stolen method of payment to dropship item to me using Walmart home delivery (confirmed via Walmart).
Since eBay offers no actual customer service that isn't AI and useless, I think I'll be done buying here. eBay has a lot of great sellers, there are tons of really cool finds to be had, but at the end of the day it's not worth it when there's no recourse or even concern for fraud like this.
