Tracking information says delivered to an individual at GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139.

Good day!

I ordered an item on the 6th March, when I track the item it says it has been delivered to an individual at GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL 60139, but the item is to be delivered to South Africa. The tracking status  on the eBay website, asendia website, usps website as well as the universal tracking website entails that the item has completed the entire delivery process. Does this imply that there was an item mixup and the item I purchased was delivered to the wrong destination?

THANK YOU!

@oatmoth-0   That is the location of the eBay International Shipping Program center.   They should have started the package on it's way to you in South Africa by now.

I know when I had an item shipped using the eBay International Shipping Program when it first started it took almost 3 months to reach a buyer in South Africa.

Try putting your tracking number in this search tool and see if there's more information.

If the package is late arriving you can file a refund request for item not received and eBay will issue a full refund.    eBay handles all refunds when a seller ships with the eBay International Shipping Program once the item leaves the US.

Look for the last estimated delivery date in your purchase history. You can file a refund request when the item is at least a day late.  If tracking shows movement I recommend waiting a week or so for postal service delays.

You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to file a refund request on eBay.

Select your item on this page to start a refund request:

4 business days after you file the refund request ask eBay to step in and help if the seller has not refunded you.

If it is more than 30 days past the last estimated delivery date then you can file a refund request on PayPal up to 180 days from the date of purchase. OR if you didn't use PayPal at checkout contact your bank or credit card to report that you didn't receive the item.

No, they are probably using a shipping forwarder that is located in IL.  There are several places like that across the US.  There are some in Delaware, Florida, California, New York, etc.

I had an item that was delivered to Delaware that was bound to Nigeria.  But it got to them fine and they were happy with the item.

This is a method out of country buyers use to buy items from sellers that don't ship internationally (like me).  So despite not wanting to sell internationally, and having the countries blocked, I still get hit occasionally with buyers from another country.  Its a bit irritating at times.

Thank you for all  the insight!

Since my current tracking ID was providing  tracking status within the US. Am I correct in assuming that a new tracking ID will be given to further track the item as it makes its way to the final destination, being my home address?
