Tracking Gift Cards

Just so everyone knows - Ebay does track gift cards used for purchases. HOWEVER, if you have problems with a gift card, they only provide the first 9 digits of the 13 digit code. If, like me, you purchase two gift cards with the first 9 digits identical and end up with a problem, they blithely give you the purchases for the first gift card and go away. (I knew they were different cards because I scratched open the card in question and the purchases were made over a month earlier.)

Amazon tracks full gift card numbers, credit card companies track full numbers, and we are supposed to believe Ebay doesn't? Shame, Ebay!
