There used to be a way to lock the sorting method on the app. Is this gone?

The "best match" method sucks and I'm really getting tired of having to change it every single search. The app is pushing me to spend more money for a worse product aka more money for eBay.

There used to be a way to have the default sorting method lock to your preference which made the app more user friendly. 

Did ebay remove this feature so they could try to make more money?

I am really getting tired of having to change it every time I search. I do not want "best match" as the default. 

Why else would you remove a feature that gives each customer the ability to customize the app and make it more friendly? Is was a simple feature. Now I spend less time in the app because I just get mad every time I search.

I am using the Android version of the eBay app, version 6.21.0.5 and I still see the lockable filters.

It is possible that an update has changed your settings -- try going from the search results to your filter menu, and scroll down to the Customize option and make sure that "Lockable Filters" are enabled.

If that is enabled you should be able to choose a sort method and then tap the lock icon to set it as your default.
