Suspicious messages - Third attempt

Hello everyone! So today I got a message from a potential buyer stating the following "Do you take Venmo? I'll buy the laptop, when I try to use the pay now button, I keep getting "payment could not be completed. Please try again later." If not its fine, ill keep trying. Thank you"

Is this a scam? I wrote back saying I take payments through PayPal. This is the third time I am getting a message like this. All 3 buys have a reputation on eBay too. I am not sure how to proceed with this one. Any help is appreciated.
