Sold item is stuck in transit???

I sold a item and USPS tracking shows they were in possession of it on the 19th. It was estimated for delivery o the 24th. Then it shows as being

Nov 21, 2023
12:00am
In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving On Time

then

Nov 25, 2023
12:00am
In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late

Already item is delayed , BUT next is crazy. . .

6 entries for the 28th

2 for the 29th

no new delivery update

Customer filed complaint for item not received - What do I need to do? I use USPS using Ebays print at home shipping and never have had a problem until now.

Sold item is stuck in transit???

The multiple entries on 1 day is usually not showing you physical movement - it is the package being put on the wrong list (manifest) by the usps system, and the system trying to correct the error.

Since there is recent activity on the tracking, ask customer service to allow a few extra days for delivery (try for 5 since it is the holiday rush).  If the package is not delivered by the extended case deadline, you will need to refund, then work with the buyer to get repayment if the package is delivered.

To speak to customer service, use the link on the left side of this page “have us call you” - https://www.ebay.com/help/contact_us?id=4002&st=10

If you don't see 'have us call you' right under the chat link, click chat.  Then at the bottom of the chat topics, click more, then click contact an agent.

Then go to usps.com. Track the package and request email or text updates.  File a missing package report.  Check what date you can file an insurance claim - it should be 15 days since ground advantage is insured mail.

If worth spending an extra $15, request a package intercept to have the package returned to you - then you don't have to work on getting repaid if the package gets back on track.  https://www.usps.com/manage/package-intercept.htm
