Shopping cart not showing items added

I've been trying to make some purchases, but for some reason lately anything that I try to add that is a private auction isn't actually adding to my cart.  I get the message with the checkmark saying that "your item has been added" but the item name and picture don't show up there, or in the basket so I can make the purchase.  Has anyone else been having this issue?  It's been going on for almost a month now.
