Help! I don’t want to have to wait three days to cancel this order through eBay- the seller refuses to change the address and hasn’t responded to my request for cancellation. What can I do?

There is no 3 day cancellation period - only your seller can cancel your purchase. He can not change your shipping address. He does not have to cancel your purchase, although a good seller will cancel for you when he can.
If he will not respond to your cancellation request, and ships to the address you provided, then the best you can hope for is that the item is returned to the seller after being rejected by the current resident at that address. At that point you can open a not received claim.

The seller is absolutely correct in refusing to change the SHIP TO address. Sellers need to send to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment in order to keep his/her seller protection. When you went to ebay Checkout and saw the incorrect SHIP TO address, you should have clicked the CHANGE link and made the change. Buyers are required to keep their SHIP TO address up to date.
The seller may be away over the weekend. Keep trying the CONTACT SELLER link to notify the seller that you need to cancel the transaction because the SHIP TO address is not correct, and repurchase with a correct SHIP TO address.
