Yesterday I purchased an item using the Buy It Now option, the total including shipping was $65, I paid immediately and thought nothing of it. Later yesterday evening, I get an email stating that I had been refunded, looking into it the seller had cancelled the order but there is no reason provided to me. This morning, I notice that the seller has relisted the exact same item, but has increased the Buy It Now price by $10 and also increased the shipping by an additional $18.
I have no intention of buying the item at the inflated price and believe the seller only cancelled my order as they wanted to try and make some additional money on both the sale and shipping. An additional $28 is an increase of around 45% on the original sale. Is there a way I can report the seller to eBay? I looked through the options for reporting but none matched this type of situation or gave me the option to enter additional details on why I am reporting it.
Thanks.
By the seller cancelling the item, he did not complete the transaction and reported himself. He will get a DEFECT for not completing the transaction, may have to pay the final value fee, and defects lead to suspension of seller priviledges. You can leave factual feedback such as "seller cancelled transaction and relisted it for more".
