Securingpayment from an overseas buyer

I am new to eBay and this may be a silly question but here goes:  My buyer is from an Asian country and wants me to ship my goods there.  He has made the payment to eBay for processing but we must now agree on shipping means and costs. Do I have to ship before getting access to the payments?  How do I protect myself from false claims of my goods  not getting there or being damaged and payment being withheld?  Do I have to wait for the buyer to acknowledge receipt before I am paid?

This is too much for a newbie like you. I suggest you cancel the transaction. Reason: problem with buyer's address.

Stick to your listing, local pickup only.
