Unfortunately, many have.  The scam is very common.

Almost scammed?  Oh yes, the responders on this board have saved many, many from getting fleeced... the ones who sensed something just wasn't right and came here to ask.  We know those were almosts.  Sadly, not everyone came here to ask, and learned their lesson the hard way.
