Some user going by the user name of gant-28 (0) tried to hijack the shipment of an iPad Air 2 that I had won at auction. Here is the message he sent to the seller who luckily contacted me to verify before shipping:

address cuz my dad got sick and I have to move out of town to hospital to take care, sorry for
bothering and here is the shipping u have to send it please
Name: giorgi gorgodze

Address 2: U185605, c/o TTL

thanks.”
English is obviously not his native language. I contacted eBay support regarding this issue and they seemed to be aware of this type of scam. I think there should be more attention payed in order to make sellers aware that this is going on. I have sold a lot n eBay and I have never encountered this kind of a scam but I have occasionally been contacted by a buyer who for one reason or another wanted their shipment sent to an alternate address.
