they sent me a message with fake eBay accounts requesting an item I sold be shipped to their mother for her birthday...and I got scammed! 

I googled the address and many people sadly have been scammed by this same address which I believe to be a warehouse or shipping center of some kind which I’m sure is full of stolen, deceitfully acquired items. 

Thankfully eBay was able to investigate (after many phone calls and hours spent) and as a courtesy allowed me to keep the funds and also refunded the buyer who either didn’t receive the item or is also in on the scam. 

Be careful and be diligent because unfortunately there are those who cannot be trusted and ruin the eBay experience for everyone.
