Retract a bid

I am selling an item.  Had 2 bids, both retracted.  Said they could not contact the seller.  I did not receive a message from either one.

Earlier today, when the first retriacted, said he had entered the wrong amount.  Now it says couldn't contact the seller.  

What's up with that?  Do people do that alot?

Most bidders just change their mind, but that is not a valid reason to retract.  Basically, there are only 3 valid reasons to retract....pick a lie.

If you feel the buyer had an invalid reason (like not being able to contact you, and your e-mail address is current and so is your phone number), you can report the buyer for an invalid retraction.  However, I hear that ebay does nothing.

The buyer that said he bid the wrong amount is suppose to rebid the correct amount, so he has an invalid bid retraction as well.
