I am having problems with relisting items that has variation content. Recently I have sold some part of the listing with a variation and when I relist that item eBay includes the item I have sold.
I tried to delete that product (as it has a zero inventory) but it won’t let me delete the product as this message comes up.
Since you've sold at least one variation, some actions aren't available, such as removing variation with a sale or changing certain aspects of photos.
How is it when I relist this item the new listing includes the inventory I have already sold?
Variation listings do best as good til cancelled. I think the regular relist process gets confused on the variations.
Try using sell similar instead of relist - I don't know why relist is carrying over the sold items, but sell similar will not (should not). I used sell similar on a variations listing day before yesterday to create a new listing, and had no trouble deleting the variations that did not apply, and they did have sales.
