Received items not ordered

I received an item that is not in my purchase order list - I’ve tried to contact EBay for further guidance but don’t know how to resolve - item came from Buffalogal.ecrater in Buffalo, NY

You may be the victim of a brushing scam. This happens when the scammers find your name online and then send you an unsolicited package with an inexpensive item. They can then use your name to write fake product reviews. 

Whatever you do, do not scan any QR codes or attempt to contact the sender in any way. Be sure to go to the eBay Security Center and report getting the package.

Thanks for your response - I have navigated through the entire Ebay website numerous times, including the Security Center, to try to report this concern, but there doesn't seem to be any way to report it to Ebay - I also tried finding a phone support number, and couldn't report the issue there either - any suggestions on how to report to Ebay?

It sound like that seller is on eCrater which is a totally separate selling site from eBay.  eBay may not be able to help you with this package.  If you receive something that you did not order from any site then the law allows you to keep the item as an unsolicited gift.  Keep in mind that this is different than ordering an item from a seller and you receive the wrong item.
