Received an item I did not order

I have just received a used child's book that I did not order.  It is stuck together with sellotape and has lots of pencil and biro scribbles on it!

It has my name and address correct and was delivered today by Royal Mail

There is an Order No. and  an EBay Return ID

It came from  Greater Manchester and I have no idea who the Sender is.

It obviously has no value but I am anxious that this might be some sort of Scam and these people have my name and address.

I would welcome any information you can give me, thank you

Are you expecting any orders? Compare the tracking number on the item you received to any outstanding orders you are expecting. Is it possible the book was just used as shipping protection for another item inside the book?

If you are not expecting anything, it is possible that the shipment was designed to generate a tracking number that shows delivery to your area -- possibly for another user's transaction.

No, I'm not waiting on any EBay delivery at the moment and no, the book wasn't used as protection for another item.  I find it all a bit strange.  Who would have my name and address and why would they send a child's hard board book
