I started a return on an item which was one of 2 identical items. I cancelled the return, and then realized I got the sellers mixed up. Now I need to have the cancelled return re-opened. I tried the assistant and can't get an answer. I can't get an agent because none of the questions align to connect me to one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There is no way for you to reopen a Return Request once you close it.
You have two choices. You can talk with your seller and they may just be willing to work with you, so that should be your first step.
If they won't work with you and if you paid with a credit card, you can go to your credit card and put the amount is dispute which creates a Chargeback. Your CC will put that amount of money on the transaction in dispute and contact Ebay and tell them that you are disputing the charge. Then Ebay notifies your seller. It takes a bit of time for everyone to get it processed, but your money is protected while a decision gets made.

If you want to speak to someone at eBay about your issue, you need to have eBay call you. On the link below, click on "Have Us Call You" between the time listed below the link. A representative will call back and you can talk to them about your problem. Usually doesn't take too long to get a call back. Since Covid, eBay reps have been working from home. You can't call them, but they will call you. Good luck, hope you can resolve this.
