Hello: Have a customer who bid on and won the WRONG item and I've agreed to cancel the transaction. How do I do this? He hasn't paid, so can't refund him. huzat
Go to the Resolution Center (link at the bottom of this and most ebay.com pages) and choose that you are a seller who needs to cancel a transaction, then go through the form, choosing as the reason that the buyer requested it.
Note that the cancellation won't go through (and your Final Value Fee credit won't post) until the buyer responds to a request from eBay to verify that s/he isn't out any money (didn't pay or got refunded) or the 10 days for doing so passes, and if your monthly invoice is generated before that you will have to pay the full amount, including the FVFs for this transaction, and then either allow the resulting "credit balance" to be applied to future fees or call Customer Service for a refund once you have a credit balance showing.
