So I paid my invoice using the Paypal Onetime Credit button and I was conveniently also charged the same invoice amount on my credit card. I'm assuming this happened because I used the Paypal payment option one day ahead of my account being due and eBay didn’t register this in time for the automatic payments via my credit card. You know I understand this to a degree, but what really frustrates me is now I have a positive account balance and I have to call eBay and request for them to refund the extra amount paid. On top of that they said it will take 30 days to issue a refund. I find this practice absolutely absurd and I would like an explanation for this. eBay has no problem demanding a payment that they are entitled too, but when there is slight mistake and they need to refund you, they are in no rush to give you your money back. I would like answers for how this is a fair practice. Please!
The policy does say to allow for 30 days, but that could be the outside length of time it may take.
When did you make the refund request?
