 Why would  I receive a message from eBay saying reminder transactions must be completed on eBay

Because textual information you put on eBay  in a message, the Description of a listing or other text   has a fragment of an email link that the Text Bot has found.

Some "fragments" are easy to find, others can be hard to find.

EASY: Using the @ instead of the word "at". The bot sees the @ and assumes it's part of an email address.

HARD: the bot ignores spaces, so a period ending one sentence gets grouped with the first characters in the next sentence. It's not always obvious. For example the bot would find the .com ending for a domain name in these sentences: I like the beach. Come to the seashore with me
