Hi,
Here is the dilemma. I had an assistant help out last month and he took a package to the Post Office that did not have the postage on it. He dropped it in the box thinking it was on its way. I contacted him and asked for the tracking info. to send the buyer - how we found out he did not buy postage for it at the P.O. The other packages (3) were routine sizesand the postage bought on Ebay. This particular was heavy & and an odd shape so needed some attention. Anyway it has been 2 weeks now and no sign of the package / a return to sender and as this the 4th largest city in the U.S. (Houston) there is very very little chance I will see it anytime soon. I contacted the Buyer when I found out what had happened and told her the truth. Last Fri. I contacted the Buyer again offering to go ahead give her a complete refund- I have not heard from her.... What do I do now? The whole bothers me because it is sooo unprofessional on my part and would like to get this resolve in the Buyers favor.
and what was the reason you did not buy the postage on eBay for that one??
so it had your address on it and the buyer's address but no postage?
stranger things have happened and they may just deliver it to your buyer but there will be no way for you to know because of no tracking
not saying you have a dishonest buyer but I can see a buyer getting the package having to pay the postage and telling the seller they did not get it which would result in a refund but in the end the buyer only paid the postage the post office charged them
if the package is not returned to you then you will have to depend on a honest buyer saying they got it
I would give it a wee bit more time if the buyer agrees and see if it shows up
