Puchases on EBAY

Its interesting that if you start to buy something on EBAY  (not a auction)  you are not allowed to change your mind.   I purchased a TV part from the tvdoctor , but before I paid for it discovered the part was not the problem, so I contacted the seller.  He refused to cancel the order and reported me as a non payer.   This is just like going to your local store and putting an item on the counter and then say I changed my mind, and the store says no you cant do that pay for it or we are calling the cops.    This a kind of strong arm robbery in my opinion.   I can understand auction type sales.  I manage on line sales and we gladly cancel and order if someone changes thier mind.   Why pay and ship an item just to have it returned later, no one makes money except the shipper.  Amazon gladly accepts a cancel request, EBAY says no your obligated to pay for it now.
