Hello everyone. I will appreciate if you can give me advice on what to do in this situation.
I recently bought a RAM stick from an eBay seller and later received it in a package sent directly from Amazon. This is called drop-shipping and it is absolutely legitimate, as far as I know. Now I requested a return and the seller sent me a QR code for shipping label. I brought the item to a local UPS store, dropped off the item, got the QR code scanned and received a receipt which I took a photo of and shared with the seller. This UPS QR code stuff is popular since this is the way Amazon handles its returns, but this is also the start of a nightmare. I have personally made several returns to Amazon this way, so I have some experience: The return shipping tracking number will NEVER shows any updates, even after months! So the only way you know the status of your returned items is to check your Amazon account or contact an Amazon agent. In this case, it is my seller's responsibility to check his/her account and issue me the refund through eBay. It's been more than 3 weeks since the time I dropped off the item at UPS, and I have contacted the seller numerous times. But the answer is always the same: He/she has not received the returned item because the tracking indicates that UPS has not actually received the item from me! I am trying to contact eBay to ask for help, but it looks like eBay does not care as nobody calls me back as requested. What should I do?

This type of 'drop shipping' is not allowed on eBay, if the seller purchased on Amazon to fill your order. This is a policy violation.
If a seller tries to give you an amazon tracking # or QR code, go to your return request and click ask us to step in. The seller must provide a real return shipping label.
In the case of your current return, ask customer service how to deal with it - I suspect they will just issue the refund right away for you.
To contact customer service, follow the instructions on this page to work through the automated assistant to request a call back - select agent when it is an option -
