Primary address keeps returning to old deleted one!

Now I know that this has cropped up before, but this is extremely infuriating 

I changed my address details back in December. I’ve received countless deliveries to my current address since then, so imagine how awful it was to see a parcel had been delivered to me, with a photo clearly showing my old DELETED address. 
I then reviewed all my previous purchases for the last week, and they were all addressed to the previous DELETED address. 
Now some will say that this is entirely operator error but I defy anyone who is a regular eBay user, who has updated their address months before, to anticipate that their previous DELETED address would reappear one day at checkout and to notice it immediately.
So I reset my address, deleted the old one AGAIN and made sure that the new one was established as the primary address AGAIN and it was all tickerty boo. That was until I logged back in later, only to find it all back to my previous DELETED address. This is on both the app and online eBay UK account. 
Now I’m not a newbie. Off and on I’ve been ebaying for over 20years. 

This is a glitch at their end and is a serious issue! I cannot trot along and fetch these items  from my previous address, as suggested in the HELP section. 
I would like an explanation as to how & why this is happening and what is going to be done to sort it out

In revising my ship-from address, I had discovered that the old address remained. I experimented extensively. I found that simply changing the address did not work. I had to ADD a new address and then delete the old address (or make the new address primary). While the address "appeared" to be revised in my account settings, some other internal eBay settings were not being updated. The ADD and Delete, overcame that. Yes, it is an eBay bug, and I'm not sure whether eBay has tracked it down.

 

In your case, are you revising only your registered address or have you gone through all of your other addresses? Since you are in the UK, your addresses would be here:

I would recommend that you ADD to ALL of your other addresses and then delete the old address, even if it looks like your new address on your ship-to account settings.

 

We have seen many complaints of eBay using old addresses, and this is the only thing I have been able to validate on my own.  Your situation is different in that you had a successful change of address until something changed. If you can document what you have edited, how, and when, that might help to track down this awful situation.
