I recently posted about a lady who won four 99 cent DVDs, after four days with no word from her the unpaid item assistant opened cases automatically against her. I had sent her a message previously letting her know that due to a rise in non-paying bidders my account was set up to do this. She ignored me until after the cases were opened. At that time I also blocked her from bidding on more. Then she sent me an angry email asking me to turn this off and that it was a nuisance, that DVDs without cases were worthless, and that my shipping charges ($4 for the first DVD $1 each additional) which are clearly stated, were outrageous. My listings make it clear in the title DVD ONLY, this is also made very clear in the listings, so she obviously knew this, as well as my shipping charges before she bid. She just paid minutes before the unpaid item cases closed and sent the following note attached to her payment: "So, $7 to ship 4 discs in a plain envelope. We'll see how much that actually costs. Some sellers think it more important to treat people fairly, you are happy to ram it thru because you're allowed to. I reserve my right to VIVIDLY comment on your behavior."
Is there any way out of this? I really do not want to do business with this person. I have done nothing to her. Everything in my listings was clearly stated yet she made the choice to bid. I even gave her the option to cancel the transactions if she was unhappy with completing the purchase. She just seems out to get me. I have been selling off my large classic movie collection to help with medical bills and other expenses and I start all of my listings at 99 cents, and I charge $4 for the first disc $1 each additional, and all of my previous customers, and I have several repeat buyers, have been very happy with this and felt like they were getting these movies at a bargain price. Even if I gave her free or discounted shipping, she might still leave negative feedback just to be spiteful. I am ill, unable to work, and a caregiver for my elderly father, I really need ebay right now, and I'm afraid she will scare away other buyers.
