Just started my fifth month selling. I ran out of money to buy more items to sell. I'm sitting on 85 items that I have reduced in price and 'sell similar' frequently enough. This has been one of the worst business experiences for me. I have done what was suggested, yet nothing. Nothing to write home about that is. What is really sad is that I don't think ebay cares. They advertise for sellers, but I'm guessing I'm the type of seller they don't want. Ebay is spending time updating, changing, but zero attempts to make sure sellers are selling. Sure it's easy to upload etc.... but if no one is buying, it's fruitless. I am very confused and disappointed. I know I'm not the only one going through this. I can not sell everything at 10 dollars! I can not sell things worth fifty for ten dollars. That's crazy. A couple dollar profit? Exactly what are the incentives? I'm not even trying to get rich quick. A little over a thousand in 5 months is so so disappointing with the millions of buyers.
I went the route with promotion. Useless. I can't trust the suggested pricing because it's completely different than 'sold' prices. I literally feel like it's a set up to fail.

Some of selling online is a numbers game. The more you have for sale the more items may sell. Perhaps what has sold so far is the more desirable items you have and what is left is less desirable.
Look around your place to see if there is anything you are willing to part with that might have some value and list it.
Some of the other parts of selling online is it takes time.
