Notification delivery format - how to send and receive messages to/from other members

I'm trying to allow another member to send and receive messages from my account. They said I just need to go to myebay>account>communication preferences>delivery options>edit, then add the email. However, when I get the the last step and click edit, the only options I have are "Includes graphics" or "Text-only." Does anyone know how I can add another member's email?
