I am just about ready to give up and shut my store down after all these years! First of all I want to thank the eBay Rep. I spoke to a few months ago for insulting me beyond belief.. he called me the "occasional seller" well no, I am not an occasional seller it's just that this past year I've had no sales to speak of, I asked the guy why my listings are not showing up in search results and that's what he said!
I did have cancer but kept my store open during treatments then this past year of recovering and getting back to normal I kept it open. I thought it odd my sales were dropping until it's dead in the water though.
Only thing I changed is I stopped accepting returns after all these years. I got sick of buyers that would have my "vintage items" for a month or more then one day say they don't like it and want their money back. I was also sick of eBay allowing such frivolous returns and IMO not abiding by their own return policy on "item not as described" when obviously my listing described the item 100%!
I've learned over the years that time does matter in this situation, the longer they keep it the more you know they are wearing or using the item and/or have worn it to an event it was meant for. I am thorough in my descriptions, I do a ton of research and pricing comps before listing, I know the drill.
So.. I've just added returns accepted once again to see if it makes a difference. I want to know if eBay blocks listings from search results if the seller does not accept returns?
I'm guessing the answer is yes!
