Made a purchase from Overstock. Received the ring with CZ's. The issue was the ring was not described properly, in terms of stone sizes, and width of band.
I get it, and it looks awful. I initiate a return. Ring is returned, refund is issued.
Here is the kicker...Overstock wants the transacation "canceled," to prevent any feedback from being listed.
Once they start a "cancel" your purchase history is wiped clean of any "canceled" items.
I think this is "dirty pool." By "canceling" an order, it looks like it never existed and we can NOT leave feedback.
I think others should be aware of sizing issues or poor descriotions in the listing.
A transaction should be CANCELED......BEFORE the item is sent or money changes hands. After that point..it is a RETURN ir a REFUND and NOT a "Cancel."
I spent 35 years in retail/wholesale..and a CANCELLED order is one that is NOT SHIPPED.
It seems to me that "large" sellers" get preferential treatment.....Any ideas, comments?
