Listing trading cards as "new"

The new listing tool PROHIBITS sellers from indicating a trading card for sale is "new."

I just listed a football card that I removed from the ORIGINAL PACKAGE, it hasn't been touched since it was packed, and if that isn't NEW, I don't know what is.  But it goes up as "used."

I am very careful about disclosing flaws in the trading cards I list, and eBay should allow the seller to determine whether an item is new or used.

@stloubrown   I am not sure why eBay has the system set up this way but New was removed from trading cards on the classic listing tool last year too,  you could only select used or a  dash.

My only advice is to say new in the title.  Mention in your description only opened for photo.

Boxes allows for the new condition.  Just not singles or lots.
