I had an item for sale. Only the second time I’ve attempted this. Apparently I set up an auction with a minimum bid of $100.00 by mistake. I never would have knowingly done this on a Bowflex M5 Elliptical worth at least $500.00. Not knowing an auction was in process I sold the item thru another private means. The item was picked up, it’s gone, I can’t change this. The auction winner “paid” eBay, I did not receive any monies. The buyer is now requesting a refund from me. I’m trying to contact someone at eBay to refund the buyer his $100.00 but am getting nowhere. Anyone with more eBay experience know how I can get this resolved?
Thanks!

You must fund the refund, then eBay will release the buyer's payment to you and reserve the fees. No one likes it, but that is how refunds work for all of us.
Go to your list of sold items and select cancel transaction from the action menu next to the order. Then select I am out of stock, then click refund buyer.
