Increase in unpaid items

What is going on? I've been selling on Ebay for almost 20 years, and only had 2 unpaid item cases until recently. Now I've had 6 in the past 6 months. It's where I don't even want to list anything because it's such a waste of time. Anyone experiencing the same?

I rarely have unpaid items, even when sales were better, buyers always paid.

You could list as fixed price with immediate payment required.  That way your item stays listed until it is actually paid for.
