How do you permanently delete messages? If you "delete" messages in the inbox, it moves them to the trash folder i.e. not permanently deleted. The trash folder does not give the option to delete messages there, only to move them somewhere else. If you move messages to another folder, such as "Folder 1", they no longer appear in the trash folder, but they are still on the computer in "Folder 1". If you "delete" messages in Folder 1, they are not deleted, but moved back to the trash folder, where they cannot be deleted. Thus, there appears to be no way to permanently delete messages.
