I have a situation with an overseas buyer who purchased an item and does not feel it was as described, i.e. color and pattern description/photos do not match what he expected. It was very clearly stated two colors and shown as such. I've measured the pattern to the milimeter and its exact. Previous sales have occurred without issue.
No matter. I've offered him a refund. Didn't hear back for several days until receiving a long email that is somewhat bullying. He says he wants all his questions answered about the scale, three colors and so forth. I don't want to get pulled into a fight and simply stated there is a difference of opinion about the color and pattern -perhaps it's a mointor, we have measured it and again, have not had other issues and to please return for a refund.
I'm worried that i'm being set up for a bait and switch. I encountered this many years ago with a customer who sent back a different handbag.
Prior to purchase, he worked me down on the price through several emails and wanted to circumvent duties. My decleration on the package was what he paid and this resulted in a sizable duty. The auction stated not responsible for duties and suggested a sample be sent in case the color was not to expectation.
