There is too much information to write out, but here is an outline:
- Buyer wanted to return an item because they ordered wrong one.
- I have emailed buyer that if they want to return it, they will have to pay and receive partial refund (less 20% restocking and my shipping) OR they can use my pictures and sell the item themselves and get more money and asked to choose one, as my listing does not allow for returns. I was trying to be nice.
- Buyer did not respond to my first or second email attempt
- Deadline was reached for me to work out this case, I did not hear back from buyer, so I have declined the return
- In few hours buyer called eBay and eBay forced return, stating in case email that once it is delivered full refund will be automatically issued
- I called eBay to get an expnanation and they basically stated even though buyer did not respond, I have invited the return; hence they forced return after case closed.
- I was told that I would be able to do partial refund even though the email stated it will be deducted in full on arrival.
- Item arrived when I was not home and eBay refunded the buyer in full automatically
- I called eBay and they told me that here is nothing they can do, even thought hey told me that this would not happen.
I have put all the info and voice snipets into a video outlining everthing that happened. I beleive that eBay is in wrong here, by telling me that I can do a partial refund, but not giving me any time to do it.
This is not a clickbait, nor I am looking for subscribers. This is FYI video only: https://youtu.be/vJT24Biy0Yg
The conversation at the end with the supervisor really stands out, as he has basically told me (not in this direct language) to use my phone to refund the buyer while I was driving. Fantastic!
What are everybodys thoughts on that?
