I purchased 5 separate items from a single seller. They combined shipping costs and mailed 5 items in a single box. I'd like to return 4 of the 5 items. I agree to pay the return shipping costs -but I'd like to ship all 4 in a single box. Please advise on how to do that. The only way I see possible with the online system is to request (and print) a separate return label for each of the 4 items.

You need to create your own shipping label, then ask customer service to enter the tracking # on each return.
You can buy a label at pirate ship.com at the same rates eBay offers. Then ask customer service to update the tracking #s.
The easiest way to do this is to post a private message on social media. www.facebook.com/ebay www.twitter.com/ebay
To speak to customer service, use the link on the right side of this page “have us call you” - https://www.ebay.com/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
If you don't see 'have us call you', click chat. Then type contact an agent.

thank you -
In order to initiate the returns online - I need to process each one separately. This process provides me with a shipping label for each item. Are you saying to IGNORE those individual shipping labels (using the pirate shipping label instead?)
Also - would I need to communicate to the seller letting them know the change of plans?

I would not use any of the labels provided by eBay - have them enter your new tracking # on all 4 returns.
Since the seller sent all of the items in a single package, he should be expecting the returns to be combined, but it never hurts to give a seller more info. I would send him a note with the new tracking # and explain that you combined the shipping, just as he did 🙂
