I don't put it past the outsourced customer service reps to lie to you, but there's just as good a chance that he/she was innocently mistaken. When you have a question, you should come here first and ask. Most of the time you can get an answer right here. If you actually need customer service, we'll tell you that.
In the twenty years I've been on eBay, I've needed to call customer service exactly once. That one time, I got excellent service, and Crystal solved my problem while I sat here with the phone in my hand.
