How do I block buyers with more than one UPI from bidding?

I have just returned to using Ebay (have been overseas for a while) and did not know about the change in policy where Sellers cannot leave feedback for Buyers.

Before going any further, let me just say that is a most idiotic policy.  I will not be leaving ANY feedback for Buyers going forward because it's pointless.

I have two auctions where people haven't paid and it now apparently has to go to an annoying arbitration process.

Q1: How do I set up new auctions to block bidders that have any Unpaid Item strikes on their record?

Q2: Can I remove a bidder's bid during the auction process?

Thanks,

Apparently you were away a long time. That policy has been in effect for almost 8 years. (Sellers CAN leave positive feedback.)

It's not pointless, but it's your choice. It may harm your business, because buyers like to receive feedback and good sellers like happy buyers. They don't "punish" buyers because they don't like eBay's policy.

It's not an arbitration process. You open a case after 2 days and you close it 4 days later. This requires an expenditure of energy amounting to about 4 seconds. It used to be you had to wait a week to open a case and another week to close it. Most sellers thought the policy change was a HUGE improvement.

By opening and cloing unpaid item cases, you get your FVF credit, the buyer earns and unpaid item strike, and the buyer requirements tool automatically helps protect sellers from problem buyers.

As you are so annoyed by going through the unpaid item process, why not list as Buy It Now with the Immediate Payment Required box checked in the item listing form and you'll never have to be annoyed (about this) again.

You can't block buyers with one unpaid item strike. You can block buyers with two or more. To help protect yourself from problem buyers, go to your My eBay > Account tab > Site Preferences > Selling Preferences > Buyer requirements and block buyers who:

- Don't have a PayPal account
- Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 12 Month(s)
- Have 4 Policy Violation report(s) within 6 Month(s)
- Have a feedback score of -1 or lower

It's actually the first block that protects you the most (from members who can't pay because they don't have a PayPal account).

Q2: Can I remove a bidder's bid during the auction process?

Yes. Same way you used to...
