I gave a seller a negative review. He fixed the problem and now I want to delete that feedback. Instructions from Ebay are not clear. How can I do that?

Ask the seller to send you a Feedback Revision Request.

I have done that. The seller says he does not have that option. That I needed to ask ebay to do it. This is the dilemma... Ebay says the same thing you advise... and the seller says he is unable to do it (literally, he "does not have that option"). Hmmm. Very weird.

Tell seller to look on his feedback page, it usually is by the item or at the very bottom of the page. If not there then either your feedback is over 30 days old, or seller has used up all his feedback revision requests for the period and has to wait for them to renew. Otherwise, it is the seller that needs to contact ebay to find out why he doesn't see the option.

If the seller has corrected the problem, and you are happy, go to your Purchase history, locate the item, and click on CONTACT SELLER. Apologize for the neg, and let the seller know you would be glad to revise the feedback once the seller sends you a Feedback Revision Request. In case the seller doesn't know where to find it, let the seller know to go to his/her feedback page, scroll to the very bottom, and click on Request Feedback Revision. Once you receive it, you have 10 days to act on it.
I believe the feedback revision request must be sent within 30 days of receiving the feedback.
