How can I alter an active listing from pickup only, to include pickup and shipping options

Item started off just being pickup only. I have been asked buy potential buyers to ship.

Is there a way of doing this whilst active or after the auction has ended?

No, once there are bids you can not change the shipping.

If your winning bidder wants it shipped and you agree on a price, after he wins, cancel it as problem with buyer's address.  Then relist it at a buy it now price of his winning bid, enter the shipping, and ask him to buy it again with the shipping.
