Hi I have noticed such a decrease in sales ,it hardly seems worthwhile lisiting on Ebay Anymore , it has become a yard sale swap meet , any ideas what I can do to stay afloat , I am top rated powerseller I offer free shipping , 30 day returns. Am I missing something ????
I see way too many China based sellers selling items at wholesale prices, Some of there prices are below my wholesale cost even when I buy 100 units minimal just to get the discount. Ebay let's them get away with it, and we lose sales Ebay lose's selling fee's. Example: If I sell for normal retail price one of the same items there selling I pay $1.07 for selling fee, The so called China wholesale seller sell's the same item at my cost, they pay only 0.44 cents. So that seller's current selling is at 6,500 on it's feedback for 6 months if there only paying 0.44 selling fees on avarage that's only $2860. in fees, If I was selling the same item with my retail price with there same stats paying $1.07 on average that would be $6,955. in fee's i would pay eBay, There losing $4,095 every six months, and that's just one item. But! they don't care we have too suffer that's why I left ebay once before.
I can't see where there's room for much improvement to the existing listings & terms that you currently have. The product mix is decent, prices seem good to reasonable, you offer returns and even best offer on many of them. Your feedback speaks to all of this as well. I doubt it's anything on your end and more to do with the eBay site in general.
It wouldn't surprise me to know that your sales may be down because your listings are so good that the new & improved customer base of eBay today, consisting of waaaaay more less than desirable buyers, simply move on because they figure you have your sh*t together and they ain't gong to be able to get over on you.
