Good Till Canceled Fixed Listing Policy

I strongly feel that sellers should have the option as to whether they want Good Till Cancelled on fixed listing or not and that ebay should not require it. It is not working out at all for me  as a small seller with fixed budget. Auction style is not helping as listing starting bid to cover my costs at previous buy it now price does not work out as buyers are usually looking for a lower starting price and I can't list any lower. I am very dissatisfied and after being on ebay for almost twenty years am not sure i want to continue. I am wondering if any other sellers feel the same way?
