Giving out my eBay password?

I have found a gas dryer here on eBay that I may purchase. I would have to get a uShip

transporter to deliver it to me as it's 3 hours away.

The eBay seller has told me that I would have to give my eBay password to the uShip

transporter so that he (the seller) can scan the pickup on his phone and "complete the transaction".

I am WAY reluctant to give my eBay password out to a shipper who's basically a stranger to me.

Has anybody ever done this type of thing or heard of it?

thanks!

Giving out my eBay password?

For local pickups, eBay gives the buyer a QR code that the seller scans at pickup. You do not need to give anyone your account information, you just need to give them a printout of the QR code. You may even be able to email it to them, I've never dealt with this so I'm not sure.

See here:   Buying with local pickup | eBay

After you’ve completed your purchase, we’ll send an email with a Local Pickup code (a QR code and a 6 digit code) to your Messages. You can either print off your email or show the seller the message on the app when you collect your item. The seller will scan or enter the code on the eBay app to confirm you’ve picked up your item.

ALWAYS be honest and exceedingly FAIR!
