Ebay Automatically adding best offer

Yesterday I received a note from ebay that they were adding best offer to 4 of my items which had been listed for a week without selling.

I couldn't believe they changed my listing without my permission. I called customer service and after being transferred three times, the rep  said I was part of a beta program, apologized, and said it wouldn't happen again.

Well, today it happened again. They added best offer to three of my items.

Is anyone experiencing this issue? Is anyone else upset. If there was a setting I could turn on and off, I wouldn't mind, but I do not want eBay changing my listing - regardless of their reasoning.
