Defective Addi Knitting Machine

I ordered an Addi Knitting Machine from EBay which was shipped from Germany.  I started the knitting process, but as I turn the manual lever to start the knitting cycle before the cycle is complete the handle begins jam and grind this before the first cycle is complete.  It appears that the rotation cycle works well while rotating through the white knitting needles, but jams and grinds when the cycle gets to the three black knitting needles. I'm afraid if I force the handle it will break the needles or the manual handle.   It was indicated that this was a new item, but I'm not sure because I believe some instruction manuals were not included.  I want to know what I need to do to exchange this Addi Knitting Machine for a new functioning knitting machine.  Can you provide me with the step by step procedures that I need to follow to make this exchange?  You can reach me.  Thanks for your assistance.
