Changing/adding to an existing item

Can you change an existing item. I want to add another similar item to the already existing listing.

You can modify an existing listing that is not currently engaged in a transaction (bids, offers) and that has more than 12 hours to run if auction format.  You can raise the price and sell two items as a single lot, instead of selling just one item.

If you were planning to offer two similar items with a droplist to select one or the other, you can not add a variation droplist to an existing non-variation listing. To do that, you would need to start a new listing and select the variation option at listing creation.
