Changed my User Name but, store name remains the same?

I changed my username about 6 months ago.  When I try to share link for my store, it shows old username.  I called seller support and was told there's nothing that can be done about that??  Huh?

When I share the link for my store on social media, it's confusing for potential buyers.  If they're willing to click on the link, it does take them to my store with the correct name but......any thoughts on this one?

Years ago, when you changed your store name, you could also change the URL, but no more.

The only way to get the name and URL to match is to cancel the store subscription for awhile, then resubscribe.

ugh, thanks for the answer but, how longs a while?  Do you know?  Would seem we should be able to get on the phone with a customer rep who could cancel and resubscribe us pretty quickly...

How long, I don't know.

There was a post awhile back where someone mentioned 30 days.

Want to wish everyone a Safe and Happy Independence Day.

If you cancel your store subscription, eBay saves the settings for 30 days in case you want to reopen.  After 30 days, the name becomes available for anyone to use, so you can reuse it with a fresh start.

If you have an annual subscription, wait until you are in your renewal month before you cancel, or else you will be charged an early termination fee.
