Cannot Call eBay Customer Support

I have asked a seller to cancel a purchase which was marked as such by mistake - I did not know that when you click Purchase Item in a smartphone application, it automatically turnes into a purchased item, without verification or something similar. It was one week ago. But recently I received a message that payment for this item hasn't been received during the past 15 days and an unpaid Item has been recorded on my account. There is an option to contact the eBay Customer Support, to resolve the issue, but I'm not able to - the call gets dropped automatically after I am redirected to the operator. Tried several times, no success. Is there any way to handle such cases?
