Can you still agree to buy something and not pay for it immediately?

I can't seem to figure out how to use But It Now but not pay right away. You used to be able to do this by using Buy It Now and then it would say you purchased it, even if you didn't pay right away. Did they do away with this?

The situation I'm in is like others have been in, I'm sure: I'd like to buy some things but had a question for the seller while I'm still shopping the their merchandise. I was waiting on a response and while I was, two of their items I had in my cart had been purchased by someone else. So, I'm a bit antsy that more will go as I wait.

Anyone know if this is still possible and how to do this?
